UGNDA AND RWANDA TOUR

Day One: Entebbe - Lake Mburo

You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala and drive westwards towards Mbarara to Lake Mburo National Park. After lunch and bike fitting, we will go on a late afternoon game drive through this small National Park with its awesome rich diversity of wildlife. On return to the campsite you will encounter hippos probably waiting along the lake side. Over night at the Camp site by the lake. F/B.

Day Two: Lake Mburo National Park - Ndejja 54/89km

1219m - 1423m, highest point 1433m. Road conditions allowing, we will start the journey early passing through the Western Ruiza gate, which will give us good opportunities to encounter more animals in this less visited areas of the park. After 62km we will meet up with the bikes at Biharwe, and start riding west on the road. Whilst by no means flat, there are no large climbs to trouble us as we cross some marshy low-lying areas, skirting larger hills through small villages and smallholdings. You will have chances of viewing the dramatically horned Ankole cattle grazing in small herds. Dinner and overnight at the very simple Pan Africa Motel in the village of Ndeija after 54km. F/B.
Alternatively If we can’t get away through the Ruizi road , we shall leave the National Park from the main Sanga gate ride 13km on a gently rolling dirt road to the main road, a total of 89km to Ndeija. Over night at Pan Africa Motel. F/B.

Day Three: Ndeija - Kabale 102km

1423m - 1800m, highest point 2012m
On this day we shall pass through the long low rolling hills again interspersed with low-lying marsh areas and open plains. Drive for about 60km as we reach the hills and start to climb - the detriment being the inspiring sceneries! Naturally the White Horse Inn in Kabale is set above the town - one last little uphill to complete this long, hard day. Dinner and over night at White horse Inn. F/B.

Day Four: Kabale 65km, all dirt roads.

1800m - 1919m, highest point 2401m
Much as you might believe that yesterday may have been the longest day; today certainly may be the hardest. We will leave Kabale Town for beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, with a small matter of a 470m climb over 10km in the way. Your encounters again will be views of beautiful panoramas as we ride over several more peaks, past the immemorable local terraced fields with farming going on at impossible angles on the hillsides. The highest part of the ride goes through bamboo forest and then descends down to the small town of Kisoro, set close to the volcanic peaks of the Virungu Mountains. Dinner and overnight at Kisoro Tourist Hotel. F/B.

Day five: Departure to Kampala.
