Day One
Leave for Mount Elgon which is situated in the Eastern part
of Uganda. The Mountain is said to have one of the widest
surface areas of any extinct volcano in the world. Mount Elgon
is endowed with the most beautiful caves, cliffs, gorges and
waterfalls in the country. Stop over in Mbale for lunch. Dinner
and overnight at the Sipi Falls Rest Camp.
Day Two
Take breakfast and visit the exploration center at Kapkwai
in the Chebonet valley and take the Mountain Bamboo Trail
traversing a 7km loop across the River and the Southern rim
of the gorge. Picnic lunch.
Overnight at the Rest Camp.
Day Three
After breakfast we’ll take a full day on the Sasa Trail
to view the thespian landscapes from the high altitude and
moorland. Picnic lunch.
Dinner and overnight at the Rest Camp.
Day Four
After breakfast we’ll take a short forest walk in the
mountain Elgon Forest and later drive back to Kampala in the
afternoon.
