DAY 1: DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Drive westwards then take a stop over at the Equator. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park. A game drive en route is rewarding with animals like Water bucks, the Uganda Kob, Buffaloes, Lions, Elephants and many other animals in this park. Proceed to Mweya peninsular and Check in for lunch. IN the after noon the guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive your to the crater lakes region for a vista of the beautiful crater lakes along with the Katwe salt lake where salt is traditional mined in Uganda . The folklores as told by the miners along with the traditional parches in the lake are interesting. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Institute of Ecology .
DAY 2: GAME DRIVE AND WILDLIFE TRACKING SAFARI
Wake up early in the morning and go for an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi track. The game drive exposes you to a variety of animal species like lions, elephants, buffaloes, elephants and many bird species. Return to the lodge for a mid morning breakfast as you wait for lunch. After, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel that will expose you to schools of Hippos, crocodiles, and bird species like the papyrus Gonolek, African Skimmer, the Martial eagle, and many other bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge or the Institute of Ecology .
DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING SAFARI TOUR
After breakfast, go for an early morning chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura gorge.The steep Kyambura gorge formed by turbulent waters of the roaring kyambura River provides a lush riverine forest home to chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys , Red tailed monkeys, Olive baboon and other primates as well as plenty of forest birds. A guided nature walks takes visitors into the gorge and offers a great chance to track havituated chimpanzees in their natural habitats. . Later connect to Kibale forest for lunch and then in the after noon, you will go for a nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp which is managed by the community. The sanctuary situated in Magombe swamp and it is known for a wide range of biodiversity including many species of primates such as the Red Colobus Monkeys, L'Hoest Monkeys, Vervet monkeys, mammals like the Sitatunga, bush pigs, bush bucks, Otters and Mangoose. Dinner and overnight at Ndali lodge / Primates lodge / Sky tree house.
DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND RETURN TO KAMPALA
After breakfast, assemble at the Kanyankyu Tourist centre from where you will go for chimpanzee tracking. This will expose you to a variety of primates like the blue cheeked Mangabeys, the L'hoest Monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, Chimpanzees and many others. After, you will have lunch and proceed to Kampala or Entebbe for your flights back home.
