3 days - Ngamba Island - Entebbe.
The Island accommodates about 40 chimpanzees however to visit the sanctuary and have a forest walk to search for them, one is required to take prior immunization and tests. These chimpanzees are entertaining especially when they are feeding or even if you encounter them in the forest.
Below is a sample itinerary of a visit to Ngamba;
3 days - Ngamba Island Tour - Entebbe.
Day One:
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer you to Entebbe for your boat ride to Ngamba Island. On arrival at the Island, you will be briefed about the sanctuary by the guides and later go to the visitor’s platform to view these primates when being fed or if you are not interested, you will go for bird watching with the guide.. Have your meals and an overnight at Ngamba Island Camp (Full Board)
Day Two:
Take break fast in the dinning room at Ngamba and then after you will go for a forest walk which is optional or if you did not pay for it, you will go birding in the then after you will transfer back to Entebbe. In the afternoon transfer to Entebbe , Visit the UWEC and then after go to Botanaical beach Entebbe and search for some more rare bird species before you return back to you hotel for a dinner and an overnight .
Day Three:
If you are interested, you will go for a tour around Kampala to visit the beautiful hills with their awe inspiring cultural attachments, Visit the Kasubi Tombs the famous burial place of the past Kings of Buganda, Visit the Bahai Temple, take an excursion to Makerere University one of the leading institutions in Africa, then take lunch at Kitobero restaurant to taste some of the traditional foods as prepared in Uganda, visit the national theatre, and some other craft galleries to shop some souvenirs for remembrance of Uganda . After, transfer to the airport depending on the time of your flight.
