Day 1: Travel to Kitgum

Have early breakfast and prepare for pick up at exactly 7.00am to start the journey. Drive through the Luwero triangle where you shall stop to pick a couple of fruits say pineapples. Continue and get to Masindi town for lunch. Thereafter proceed and get to Kitgum. Check in at Boma Guest House for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park, Game Drive

Wake up to an early cup of tea after which you continue with the trip to Kidepo Valley National Park. Get to Kidepo National Park in time for lunch. Later set out for exciting game drive for great scenic views of mountains and valleys and incredible wildlife sightings. Drive through the Narus valley for sightings of large herds of buffalos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, elands, Jackson’s hartebeests, Oribis and lots of birds and unique features. Return to the lodge to relax and later have dinner and overnight at Nga Moru Tented Camp

Day 3: Game Drives in Kidepo Valley

Have a fabulous breakfast with great views of the spectacular wilderness around you – the morning view of the semi-arid plains ending in rugged horizon is quite a spectacle. Set out for the game drive to Kanangorok Hot Springs for more wildlife sightings and great picture moments. There are lots of interesting features, birds and animals to observe. Expect sightings of lions on rocky outcrops looking for their prey. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax. Later set for another adventure, deeper into Kidepo. Expect even more interesting sights and increase your game count. Return for dinner and overnight Nga Moru Tented Camp

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Game Drive

Have early breakfast, check out and set off for Murchison Falls National Park. Expect en-route stopover for lunch. Get to Murchison Falls National Park, check in at your lodge and relax. Later set out for an evening game drive to sight a number of wildlife in Uganda’s largest game park. Return for dinner and overnight Pakuba Lodge. FB.

Day 5: The boat cruise on the river Nile

After a cup of tea, embark on an early morning game drive on the Northern bank where your guide will help you spot elephants, lions, cape buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, spotted hyenas and, if you are lucky, leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Relax at the swimming pool side. After lunch, you will safari upstream by boat to the calm Victoria Nile and the base of the falls just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron.” There you can marvel at toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over the 17-kilometer stretch you may also see elephants, waterbucks and Uganda kobs. This is also the habitat for many bird species including goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelican bee-eaters, kingfishers, Hornbills, cormorants and the rare shoebill stork. After you will return for dinner and overnight at Pakuba Lodge. FB

Day 6: Fort Portal on the shadow of the Mountains of the Moon

After breakfast drive from Murchison Falls Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley.  You drive through Hoima, the town of the Bunyoro kindgom, passing though verdant countryside, tea plantations and traditional homesteads. You reach the colourful and pretty town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Toro kingdom, in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,” the Rwenzori. Day 7: The boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

After early breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, following the mystical Ruwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey. A game drive en route. Arrive early for lunch on top of the Mweya peninsula. Enjoy the unique two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful with well over 550 resident species. Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a cup of coffee embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens mile in the park and expect to see lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mongoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if lucky, the leopard, plus a lot of small animals and birds. You will reach Lake George. Drive back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon drive to the splendid Crater Lakes region for sightseeing’s. Dinner and overnight at Ihamba Lodge (M) FB

Day 9: Return to Jinja

Leave Queen Elizabeth national park for Jinja early in the morning. Stop at Mbarara for an early lunch. As you proceed to Kampala stop at the Equator for viewing and a photo opportunity. Overnight at Jinja international hotel

Day 10: The Source of the river Nile

After breakfast, visit the Source of the Nile on Lake Victoria, the monument of Gandhi, and then proceed to the “Itanda Falls”, to view the spectacular rapids on the river Nile a few kilometres from the source. OPTIONAL: Try the unforgettable emotion of the white water rafting, which is one of the main attraction in Jinja. After lunch return to Kampala for departure.

VISA

 

A visa is needed for Uganda. Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months is needed. The price is $50 (valid for one month and a unique entrance). The visa is issued at the airport on arrival.

 

 TRANSPORT

 

We use 4×4 land cruisers or minibus vehicles. The vehicles have a pop–up roof and each client will have window access.

 

DRINKS

 

The meals will be provided with mineral water for the clients. Other drinks taken are at the expense of the client.
