Drive to Nyungwe forest. On the way visit the reconstructed King’s palace at Nyanza, Butare Museum and Murambi Memorial. Lunch stopover at Butare. Overnight ORTPN guest House BB
Day 3/4 Coloured trails of Nyungwe
Spend these days following different trails to visit various primate troops, enjoying their fascinating displays in the forest canopy. Overnight Gisakura Guest House BB
Day 5 Gisenyi
After breakfast, drive or take a boat to Gisenyi, arriving in the evening. Overnight Palm Beach Hotel BB
Day 6 Ruhengeri Gorilla Tracking
After breakfast, drive to Ruhengeri for gorilla tracking and experience the fascination and thrill that accompanies each encounter. Have a picnic lunch and overnight at Gorilla Nest BB
Day 7 Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast visit a different family. In the afternoon drive back to Kigali via Lakes Ruhundo and Bulera. Arrive in Kigali for dinner and overnight at Novotel Umubano BB
Day 8 Optional Kigali City Tour
Spend the morning on an optional city tour. In the evening, transfer to the airport for home flight.
