Day 1: Arrival
After you arrive at Kanombe International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Akagera Game Lodge. Overnight Akagera Lodge BB
Day 2 Big game viewing
Before breakfast have an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Afternoon is spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight Akagera Game Lodge BB
Day 3 Butare Cultural fare
Drive to Butare, with a brief stopover at Nyanza to see the King’s palace and adjacent traditional huts. Then proceed to Butare to visit the cathedral, have lunch, and visit the museum. Overnight at Credo Hotel BB
Day 4 Coloured Trails of Nyungwe Forest
After an early breakfast, we drive to Nyungwe Forest to track the Nyungwe Colobus Monkey. Have a picnic lunch and proceed to Gisakura Guest House for dinner and overnight BB
Day 5 Chimpanzee trail
Enter the forest early to search for chimpanzees, returning to the lodge for a late breakfast. In the afternoon, drive to Kibuye. Dinner and overnight at Kibuye Guest House BB
Day 6: Transfer To Ruhengeri
Spend the morning at Kibuye. In the afternoon, drive to Ruhengeri arriving the time for dinner. Overnight at Gorilla Nest BB
Day 7 : Gorilla Trekking
Have an early morning breakfast and hike through the bamboo forest to spend a magical hour in the company of the gorillas. Return to your lodge for lunch. Overnight Gorilla Nest BB
Day 8 Kigali City Tour and Departure
Have a relaxed breakfast and drive to Kigali. Morning spent at leisure, with an optional city tour available. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
