11 DAYS SAFARI IN KENYA
Day 1: Arrive Nairobi, Kenya
Our guide will pick you up and drop you at your hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2: Feeding a Rothschild Giraffe, Nairobi
Take breakfast and go to the home of Karen Blixen, a coffee farmer and well-known author of "Out of Africa". Close is the Giraffe Center where you'll observe the gentle and rare Roth’s child giraffes. Retire back to your hotel where you will get a safari orientation by our guides and welcome dinner with the local entertainment. Dinner and overnight
Day 3: Nairobi, Mt. Kenya & Samburu.
On this day into Kenya's most charming wildlife sanctuaries, set amid the loveliness of the neighboring wilderness. This morning move northward to the Central Highlands where you cross the Equator as you approach a grand Mt. Kenya. A latent volcano with a luminous cap of snow and ice. After a stop over for upgrade, proceed with your drive to Samburu National Reserve in Kenya's semi-desert, rugged northern frontier. En route to your lodge take pleasure in your first game-viewing drive. Settle into your contented lodge in the heart of the reserve in time for dinner. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge (FB)
Day 4: Hippos in the Ewaso Ngiro River Samburu.
Prepare your self for an amazing region along the Ewaso Ngiro River, Samburu is home to some of Africa's rarest game species. The river's permanent waters abound with crocodile and hippo and attract plenty of wildlife including the shy oryx beisa, Grevy's zebra, the long necked gerunuk antelope and the Somali ostrich. Cheetah, Leopard and lion are also found in the reserve too.
You will spend your full day game viewing which commences very early morning when the animals are most active. Get ready for photo shooting and coverage as your game spotter leads you in search of the animals and you'll have plenty of opportunities to photograph your sightings. Retire to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon, go forth on additional game viewing. Dinner and overnight (FB)
Day 5: Elephants outside Serena Mountain Lodge Samburu & Mt. Kenya.
Leave for Mt. Kenya National Park, a wonderland of dense forests, plummeting waterfalls and plentiful wildlife. Arrive at your lodge, the only "tree-hotel" ever to be built on the slopes of eminent Mt. Kenya.
Cheetahs from specially built viewpoints you may watch the animals arriving at the floodlit waterhole and saltlicks throughout the evening and night. Serena Mountain Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Flamingos at Lake Nakuru
Adventure southwest today, stop at the distinguished Nyahururu Falls and then travel along the splendid Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru, known for its cosmic population of pink flamingos. Drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya's finest rhino sanctuaries and admire the flamingos and other abundant birds dancing along the lake's shoreline as you take your photos and coverage. Arrive at your lodge overlooking the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge
Day 7: Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha.
Have a morning game drive to discover the rich wildlife of Lake Nakuru. Pass via the Rift Valley en route to Lake Naivasha. Here, enjoy lunch, followed by a beautiful boat ride on the lake. Your lodge is located on the lake shore. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge (FB)
Day 8: Zebras and giraffes grazing
Lake Naivasha & Masai Mara Today drive to the fabled Masai Mara National Reserve, rich with wildlife, birds, natural flora and spectacular scenic beauty. The Masai Mara is the northern extension of Tanzania's eminent Serengeti Plains. It is Kenya's premier place of seeing wildlife, and home to a thriving population of predators such as lion and cheetah, as well as crocodile, hippo, giraffe, elephant, wildebeest, zebra and impala. Reach at your lodge located on the banks of the Talek River and surrounded by lush landscaped gardens. Have an exciting afternoon game-viewing drive in this photographer's paradise. Tonight enjoy a traditional performance of tribal dances by local Masai Warriors. Dinner and overnight Mara Simba Lodge (FB)
Day 9: Young Masai woman
Balloon Safari, Masai Village & Game Safari. Early this morning you may join an thrilling optional hot-air balloon safari above the Masai Mara's plains. You may also decide on to visit the local Masai Village where you'll learn more about their culture and customs. Included in today's program are additional morning and late afternoon safaris led by your guide who will take you in search of the Big Five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and the much rarer rhino. In between game drives, retire at your comfortable lodge and enjoy the delicious food served. This evening join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 10: Masai Mara, Nairobi & Depart Kenya.
On this day towards climax, board a short beautiful flight to Nairobi. A day room has been reserved for you and the balance of the day is free for independent adventure. This evening transfer to the airport for your return flight. Safari Park Hotel day room.
Day 11:
Departure for your home country and end of safari.
