7 DAYS PRIVATE FLYING SAFARI ITINERARY TO MURCHISON FALLS, QUEEN ELIZABETH AND BWINDI NATIONAL PARK Day one A representative from Abbiron Tours will meet you and drives you to Kajjansi airstrip to meet your private charter flight to Pakuba Airstrip in Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival at Pakuba, you will be dearly welcomed by your safari guide who will transfer you game viewing along the way to Paraa safari lodge. Murchison falls National Park derived its name from the Murchison falls where the mighty River Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down to become a placid river whose banks are crowded with crocodiles, hippos, elephants , waterbucks, bushbucks and buffaloes. The vegetation is characterized by Savannah riverine forest and woodland. Wild life includes the giraffe, warthogs, lions, various groups of antelopes like the Uganda kob, oribis, impala and also primates such as chimpanzees and olive baboons are abundant. Also bird life is abundant on the shores including the rare shoebill. You will proceed with an afternoon launch cruise along the Nile after checking in. This is often cited as being the highlight of a trip to Murchison since it allows you to get relatively close and personal with the animals. Along this distend of the river, there are reported to be approximately 4,000 hippos in addition to some gigantic Nile crocodiles. The bird life is spectacular with brightly colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks and the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill that’s if you a lucky, which is a cross between the dodo and a dinosaur. The boat will take you to the bottom of the falls which only adds to their solemnity. Some park guides can meet you at the bottom of the falls and go hiking up hill if you’re interested. Dinner and overnight at a luxurious Paraa Safari Lodge/budget Red chili camp/sambiya river lodge/Nile safari camp (FB) Day two Following breakfast then go for an early morning Chimp tracking in Kaniyo Pabidi Forest. This will help you track them because they might be still in their inhabitants. This is an undisturbed area of natural forest within Budongo Forest Reserve where you can walk beneath mature mahogany and iron wood trees. Chimpanzee tracking is the most eminent activity. You will also adventure many forest birds, including the white-thigh hornbill, chocolates-backed Kingfisher and puvel's illadopsis found nowhere else in East Africa. Day three After early morning breakfast, your safari guide will drive you to Pakuba Airstrip to meet your private charter plane to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth has a large number and variety of wildlife. It is one of the premier bio diversity ratings of any game park in the world. It widens from the open Savannahs to Rain forest, dense swamps and beautiful crater lakes to the enormity of Lake Edward. Approximately100 species that include; Crocodiles, Buffaloes, Hippos, Lions, Leopard, Spotted Hyena , giant forest hog and various types of antelopes. The primates include Olive Baboons, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus and Red Tailed monkeys, Chimpanzees, and many others. After checking in, followed by lunch and relax abit at the pool side, you will proceed with an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. Along the channel you will adventure a lot of wildlife when close to you such as; hippo’s huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, crocodiles cooling, and buffalo linger in the shallows. For birders, the shore of the channel is a home to an assortment of birds including pied and malachite kingfishers, pink backed pelicans, saddle billed stork and many others. After this amazing, the cruise will head back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at a luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge/budget Institute of Ecology (FB) Day four Following morning breakfast, we will leave for the 08.00am chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge. During this explore you will view various primates most especially Chimps of different species, Black and white Colobus monkeys and wildlife such as Lion, elephants, the giraffe, antelopes, hyenas, and many others in the middle of savanna grassland. This gorge is a home of very many bird species. Retire for lunch and relax by the pool side. You will then after proceed for an evening game drive to the Kasenyi Area of the Park. Numerous elephants as well as water hog, hyena, Heartbeest, Uganda kob, lion, waterbuck and bushbuck as well as the salt lakes will be seen. Dinner and overnight at your previous lodge.
Day five Following breakfast, you will be driven to Mweya Airstrip to meet your private charter plane to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-home of the mountain gorillas. Day six Following early morning breakfast, we shall then head for gorilla tracking. Walking up steep thickly forested hills. In this thick and humid forest you almost have to cut your way through the undergrowth but finally coming across the gorillas disguised in the vegetation is an exciting moment. See in your mind's eye coming less than 5 metres close to these primates. It won’t be easy but it definitely will be worth it. Tracking in Bwindi requires vigor and can often take the whole day. So hiking shoes are relevant with packed lunch. If you have the energy, you will go for an afternoon guided village walk to see how Ugandans live. Dinner and overnight at your previous lodge. (FB) Day seven Following breakfast, your safari guide will transfer you to Kayonza Airstrip to meet your private charter plane back to Entebbe Airport for your return flight back home.
