4 DAYS PRIVATE FLYING SAFARI ITINERARY TO MURCHISON FALLS AND KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Day one

A representative from Abbiron Tours will meet you and drives you to Kajjansi airstrip to meet your private charter flight to Pakuba Airstrip in Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival at Pakuba, you will be dearly welcomed by your safari guide who will transfer you game viewing along the way to Paraa safari lodge. Murchison falls National Park derived its name from the Murchison falls where the mighty River Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down to become a placid river whose banks are crowded with crocodiles, hippos, elephants , waterbucks, bushbucks and buffaloes. The vegetation is characterized by Savannah riverine forest and woodland. Wild life includes the giraffe, warthogs, lions, various groups of antelopes like the Uganda kob, oribis, impala and also primates such as chimpanzees and olive baboons are abundant. Also bird life is abundant on the shores including the rare shoebill. You will proceed with an afternoon launch cruise along the Nile after checking in. This is often cited as being the highlight of a trip to Murchison since it allows you to get relatively close and personal with the animals. Along this distend of the river, there are reported to be approximately 4,000 hippos in addition to some gigantic Nile crocodiles. The bird life is spectacular with brightly colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks and the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill that’s if you a lucky, which is a cross between the dodo and a dinosaur. The boat will take you to the bottom of the falls which only adds to their solemnity. Some park guides can meet you at the bottom of the falls and go hiking up hill if you’re interested. Dinner and overnight at a luxurious Paraa Safari Lodge/budget Red chili camp/sambiya river lodge/Nile safari camp (FB)
